Overview
MIPAS is a spectrometer which is used to obtain high-resolution emission spectra measurements of gases and the Earth's limb . It operates in the near and middle infrared range, where numerous trace atmospheric gases play an important role in atmospheric chemistry.
MIPAS' objectives are to take measurements in the middle atmosphere of O3, H2O, CH4, N2O, HNO3, temperature and pressure, as well as to monitor 03 and stratospheric CFCs.
Products informations
Vertical profiles are distributed by ESA but provided by two different centers : Kiruna and ESRIN. This implied differents dates of production for differents products for the same algorithme version. The lastest versions used is v4.65.
